Description:
Performing Locally: "Orange County Music Awards/Band Finals" @MARTINI BLUES
As proof that the 'buzz' around Los Angeles-based breakout alternative-rock band NEVERWONDER hasn't stopped, the talented quartet is nominated in the "Best Band Of 2006" and "Best Album Of 2006" categories by popular syndicated radio program ROCKWIRED, one of only five bands to be so honored with each nomination. ROCKWIRED is hosted by Brian Lush and heard on over two-hundred stations via the American Radio Network.
Neverwonder was nominated in the "Best Rock Band" category for the 2007 Inland Empire Music Awards and was voted a "Top 100 Unsigned Artist" by highly-regarded MUSIC CONNECTION Magazine in their year-end issue, as well as having competed in the Finals Competition of the "World Battle of the Bands" at Music Plus TV Studios in Los Angeles. In addition to capturing "Rock Group of the Year" at the recent 2006 South Bay Music Awards in Hermosa Beach, Calif., Neverwonder were nominated in three categories ("Best Alternative Group;" "Album Of The Year," "Best Male Bassist -- Vincent Ramos") at the 2006 All Access Magazine Music Awards. The band is on the current cover of Female Musician (www.femalemusician.com) and MUEN Magazine (www.muenmagazine.net)
"Upon hearing Neverwonder live, it's no wonder they were recently crowned "Rock Band of the Year" at the 2006 South Bay Music Awards, and rightfully so," writes Angela Kim in THE HIGHLANDER (October 2006). "(Vocalist Joy) Pearson's gut-induced vocals are strong enough to take on the hard-hitting instrumentals of her male counterparts
guitarist (Flint) Mavis delivers a fluid quality to the music while bassist Vincent Ramos and drummer Andres Ramos support them with hard-hitting beats...(Neverwonder's) music is something you would expect to hear at the Vans Warped Tour or Ozzfest."
"The vocals of Neverwonder's lead singer Joy Pearson are powerfully sexy," writes NEW ARTIST RADIO.NET on-air personality, Bill "Dark" Messick. "This is one hot band...they have their very own sound that you can't put down. You might find yourself stalking their website!"
Currently Neverwonder can be seen live from their South Bay Music Awards performance on www.hollywoodmusictv.com. Neverwonder's self-titled debut CD, "NEVERWONDER" features ten power-packed rock songs, including in-concert favorites "Everywhere," "I'll Be Alright," "Down To Me" and "Save Me." Samples of the songs can be heard on the band's official website, www.neverwonder.com.
Consisting of Joy Pearson, lead vocals; Flint Mavis, guitar; Vincent Ramos, bass; and Andres Ramos, drums, Neverwonder were recently interviewed live by Hollywood's longtime #1 hard rock radio station, KNAC. RADIOBUZZED (www.radiobuzzed.com) and ROCKWIRED (www.rockwired.com)are among other outlets to feature the group, who also made a live appearance on popular Southland cable tv program, THEE MR. DURAN SHOW, this past Spring.
