Southern Cali Rockers NeverWonder are my "Out of the Wood Work Band" of the issue. These amazing and talented musicians seem to come from out of nowhere and quickly gained some serious buzz! I was totally stoked to interview them, Not only did they have allot of energy but the talent on lead Vocalist Joy Person is limitless so far as I am concerned. We all have our vocal ranges and I realize that but what I am talking about is she is strong, sexy, beaming. Certainly not taking anything away from the rest of the band by any means as I find this group compliments each others musical abilities. However the reviews alone spoke of this talent...one mag went so far as to say she was across between Janis Joplin and Pat Benetar..two of the biggest females to ever get a contract. Also to it seemed that the glory was shared by all, equally, the more I researched the more amazing reviews I read.

Once the interview started you could tell almost immediately that there was something different about them, as if impressive enough the review on them, they showed not one once of ego. In fact they showed me that day what a real dedicated group that surrounds themselves with positive thinking can do. They were focused every step of the way. To be honest I almost feel bad not putting line per line what the interview said, they are one of the few bands I actually listen to more than took note. Each of them seems to have been born for this moment of their lives and they know where they are going- it impressed the hell out of me.

The future is looking very bright for NeverWonder, named for the idea that neither of them wanted to ever look back and wonder..what if. They have embarrassed their ideas and talents and are determined to move forward. I expect to see a windfall for them of the next year, as they are hitting venue after venue.

Now despite the fact that Vincent and Andres are brothers the typical fighting doesn't take place here, each believes that communication is key...even when its family. Genuinely they respect one another, giving constructive advice and taking each issue as it comes. They are not only mature musically but personally as well. I think one of the reasons for this is the fact that these guys know what they are doing. They have educated themselves to the industry, they have done their homework and have gone so far as to start their own Publishing company- clearly stated to me that every band should own their own publishing company...keep your stuff with your stuff idea. They understand that it takes more than talent to make it work- you really have to do your homework as well.

The roaring riffs and cutting edge vocals of this band break the genre mold of rock. They have combined years of experience in writing as well as playing and it comes out in their music. Joy's voice takes you in and the boys smack it into home plate.

Voted one of the Best Bands in Southern California by Music Connection magazine.
