Reseda resident wins best female vocalist award

Reseda resident Joy Pearson is front person for L.A.-based rock band Neverwonder, who won "Rock Band of the Year" at the 2006 South Bay Music Awards in Hermosa Beach, Calif. Pearson also won "Best Female Vocalist" at last year's All Access Music Awards, which took place at Paladino's in Reseda.

Joy was also just featured in popular online magazine, MUEN (Musician's Underground Entertainment News). Joy and Neverwonder perform as part of the Music Connection Magazine's Best-Kept Secret Showcase Series at The Gig in West Hollywood on Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 8:30 p.m.and again in Long Beach at DiPiazza's, for the band's now-yearly Christmas Bash on Saturday, Dec. 9.

Neverwonder has been recently featured, reviewed and/or profiled in the Orange County Register; Long Beach Press Telegram; New Artist Radio; Muen Magazine; and All Access Magazine. Neverwonder were finalists in the "World Battle of the Bands" competition that took place last weekend at MusicPlusTV. The band is also one of the Music Connection Magazine's "Hot 100 Unsigned Artists" for 2006.
